What a video-to-prompt conversion gives you
Shot-by-shot prompts
Every shot becomes a structured visual prompt — shot size, subject, camera move, lighting and grade — ready to paste into any AI video model.
Seedance 2.0 export
The same structure is exported as ready-to-generate Seedance 2.0 prompts — paste and generate, no manual rewriting needed.
Transcript & on-screen copy
The spoken dialogue, voiceover and on-screen text are transcribed with timecodes — reuse the script, not just the look.
A deep-breakdown report
Synopsis, global setting, genre-specific analysis, a creator playbook, recommended tags and a full timeline — a deep breakdown that shows why the video works.
Turn a video into a prompt in one click
Paste a Douyin / Xiaohongshu share link (or the share text) — or upload a local video — and click Analyze. Minutes later, per-shot prompts, the deep breakdown and the production script are ready to copy.
Video to prompt — FAQ
What does "video to prompt" mean?
It is the reverse of text-to-video: you take a finished video and derive the AI prompts and shot structure that can recreate it. Also called reverse video prompt or prompt extraction.
Can I reverse-engineer prompts from a local video file?
Yes. Besides pasting a TikTok, Douyin or Xiaohongshu link, you can upload a local video file (MP4/MOV etc.) directly — the analysis pipeline and output are exactly the same.
Does it support TikTok or YouTube Shorts?
TikTok is supported — just paste the share link. YouTube Shorts links cannot be parsed yet: download the video first, then upload the file.
What model are the prompts for?
Prompts are exported as ready-to-generate Seedance 2.0 prompts — paste and generate. The same breakdown is reusable across other text-to-video models too.
Can I convert a Douyin link directly?
Yes. Paste a Douyin or Xiaohongshu share link and VideoLens resolves and analyzes it — no need to download the file first. You can also upload a local video.
Is it free to try?
Yes — new accounts get free credits, so you can convert your first videos to prompts before deciding on a plan.
